First trip as a family of three officially in the books! We took Chloé James to the city, it’s one of our very favorite places! Nothing really compares to New York City!

When booking this trip, Chase and I thought carefully about what we’d be doing and where we’d be staying in the city with a 2 month old baby girl! (We didn’t want her getting sick or too hot!) We found the PERFECT hotel to stay at though, the Intercontinental Barclay! It’s right on the line of being in mid town & the upper east side, so CLEAN! Our room was spacious and big! Much bigger than any room we’ve ever stayed in while in the city! (It was really clean and smelled amazing too!) The Intercontinental Barclay had a beautiful, spacious lobby with food right off to the side, a continental breakfast with all the options, and an enormous crystal chandelier that Chloé James loved to gaze at! (It was so cute!) The staff was incredibly helpful and so so kind! They always said hello to Chloé, helped us with our bags & stroller, and even got the elevator for us! (Talk about going the extra mile!) This hotel is also dog friendly! We thought about bringing PG with us but ultimately opted out considering it was our first time flying and traveling with a baby!

I’m not even going to lie to you guys.. I miss their bathroom! It was so beautiful! It had the prettiest sink, marble countertops, the cutest subway tile, and a mirror perfectly lit to get glammed up! #TakeMeBack! If you’re wanting to visit the city, Chase & I both highly recommend this hotel! Between the incredible staff, perfect location, and spacious suite, it was a 10/10 for us Happily Ever Allens!

Seeing Chloé in the city was honestly the cutest thing ever! You don’t see many babies in New York, so everyone who saw her lit up and smiled! She brought joy to so many New Yorkers! Chloé enjoyed Central Park, soho, the Brooklyn bridge, cab rides, lots of naps, and of course her stay at the Intercontinental Barclay! She also brought some zzz’s to the city that never sleeps! Poor baby girl was so tired! She’s little enough that she can snooze anywhere right now so Chase & I lucked out!

Where should we go next?! Drop a comment below!

Thanks for looking in our first trip as a family of 3! <3 If you want our full NYC HACKS & TRAVEL GUIDE, click HERE! We have previous blog post that we still swear by! xx

HEY FAM! xx LONG TIME NO SEE EH?! I’m so glad to be back blogging again <3 it’s been a hot minute! I’ve been sick for nearly a month with heaven knows what.. some strange cold that I can’t kick but it’s starting to clear up finally! Shout out to my immune system for finally pulling through! (;

ANYWAYS, I’m not here to tell you about my nasty cold or give you excuses as to why I’ve been mia on the blog. I’m here to talk about NYFW!

NYFW is truly the most wonderful time of the year! It’s magic! You go to the city and see the prettiest clothes that will be coming out soon, you see your friends, your favorite designer, your favorite fashion bloggers on Instagram, your favorite model, even your favorite celebrity! EVERYONE’S THERE ALL TOGETHER AND ITS CRAZY! Especially for a small town country girl like me! It will never stop blowing my mind! (I remember last year passing Gigi Hadid as well as Aimee Song from Song of Style just walking down the street! Only in NY!)

You eat the best food, have access to the best shopping, hit the coolest events and parties, you watch the city start to turn gold with the leaves changing, you see the coolest trends and styles all over the runways and street, and experience a culture like no where else. Or at least like no where I’ve been before!

If you haven’t been and have the opportunity sometime, GO! I promise, there’s nothing like it! And if you’re a first timer, I have a New York Travel Guide HERE! It goes over places to stay, discounts, where to eat, and MORE!

Kk let’s get back to Fashion Week! This year I packed some outfits that were a more forward/stylish than my regular everyday wear, but not too far off! I love to dress casual and comfortable no matter the occasion! It’s just me! I did however spice up my accessories! My bags and shoes from Botkier were for sure the hottest items I sported! Good accessories are EVERYTHING! They can make or break an outfit, and they can make or break your time in the city!

In the city, once you’re out for the day you’re out! You can’t run back to your car and grab something, and you don’t want to lug around a duffel bag or suitcase all day. Finding a good bag for your things and good shoes for walking miles on end is a nessecity in the city! For me in the past they’ve been difficult to find, but it was easy with Botkier! Their entire line is fashionable, functionable, affordable, and versatile! PERFECT FOR NYFW!

It rained the entire time we were in the city, and honestly not one bag or shoe was ruined! The rain didn’t leak through my bag or shoes either, A SCORE! (Your accessories could never!)

Below I’ve rounded up some of my favorite items from Botkier! (Including my bags & shoes pictured above!) Simply click on a picture to shop an item!

Thanks for stopping by guys! It’s good to be back! xx

P.s. If you guys have any questions about the city, traveling, or anything AT ALL, leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you! xx

I'm feeling a little sad putting together todays post ): this is my fourth and final fashion week look! Aka no more beautiful New York pictures! I hope you all have enjoyed them as much as I have!

For those of you sending dm's/emails about my fashion week looks, they are all from Vici Collection! (Including this dress!) If you like their clothing as much as I do, take advantage of my discount code! Enter "BRIT20" at checkout! <3

Ok, let's get into fashion week! (Finally!!!!) I received hundreds of questions regarding NYFW, so here are your answers!

Fashion Week happens twice a year in NYC. Once in February, and once in September! All the designers are showing their upcoming seasons collection! (So the looks you saw on my ig stories will all be arriving spring & summer 2018!)

Fashion Week isn't exactly something you can buy your way into.. you have to be invited. There are certain events and shows you can purchase tickets to attend, but the big ones are invite only! It's considered an honor to attend Fashion Week, and an even bigger honor to sit front row! You can find your favorite blogger, actor, reality tv star, singer, or model sitting in these seats!

Chase and I were invited to a handful of shows, but tried to pick and choose our best ones! Fashion Week used to be held at one location, (when it was sponsored by Mercedes Benz) but now every designer/show/event/presentation gets their own venue.. making it impossible to attend everything!.. Especially with the city traffic/trying to find your way around!)

We attended the Banana Republic show, the Leanne Marshall Show, the Jarel Zhang show, the Negris Lebrum show, the Uncommon James & Chinese Laundry presentation, the Veronica Beard presentation, a private Lulus event, and a private NYFW dinner. All of the lines were INCREDIBLE! Seriously.. I wanted to buy everything I saw!

The trends I noticed most for SS18 were yellows, flowy dresses, bold stripes, straw bags, and one shoulder cut outs! Obviously there's a million more, but these were the ones I saw at every show! (So if you are already shopping for warmer weather, any of these are a shoe-in!)

I got asked what my favorite thing about fashion week was.. and for me this year it wasn't the shows!... I REALLY enjoyed the Fashion Week dinner I attended! There were a bunch of amazing influencers there and it was so cool to chat about work, where we're at, what we do, what our goals our, and Fashion Week! Honestly, it was a night I'll never forget!

For shows, my favorite was Leanne Marshall! Their designs were jaw dropping.. Leanne Marshalls runway show was in a venue that had multiple runways. (Kind of like the old Mercedes Benz Fashion Week tents!) It also held some of the sponsors for fashion week such as Tresseme & E News! The sponsor booths are fun place to go hang out while waiting for other shows! You can have your hair done, take cool pictures, meet other people on the industry, and more! This space felt the most like my previous Fashion Week experience so I loved it! It felt familiar and like home!

We've been asked if we're planning on attending Fashion Week this February, and I'm not sure yet! We would LOVE TO obviously, but we're not positive just yet!

Another question I got asked a lot was when are the looks open to the public. And the answer is RIGHT NOW! There's an app called NYFW that anyone can download and right after a show the looks are uploaded to the app for the public to see! You can search by designer, time, or trend! (I'm not positive but I think it works the same way for London Washion Week which is happening RIGHT NOW! So if you want to see the Tommy Show.. it's there!)

I know I'm leaving a bunch of you questions unanswered.. (sorry guys!) So if I skipped yours, leave a comment below and I'll answer back!

Thanks for tuning in to our NYFW experience! Until next time! xx

Feeling on top of the world at "Top of the Rock!" We took breaks inbetween the shows, meetings, and events to play tourist in the city!

Top of the Rock, (on top of the Rockefeller center) was one of our favorite attractions! It's so high up, has the prettiest views, and you can see the Empire State Building perfectly from it! This is something we'll be going to every time we're in NYC from here on out!

Some other touristy things we did and LOVED were the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo, Central Park, 9/11 Memorial, Empire State Building, Jimmy Fallon, Soho, the Highline, Hudson river, flatiron building, the Met, Wicked on Broadway, Yankee Stadium, and 5th Ave! We recommend visiting these places if you're headed to the city!

We used City Pass to get discount attraction tickets and saved a couple hundred dollars! City Pass also got us through lines quickly on majority of the things we did! (Check out City Pass HERE!) We also found cheap broadway tickets on an app called Tickets Today, and cheap Yankees tickets as well on the Yankee Stadium app! We recommend these discount apps/tickets, they were AMAZING for us!

Aside from Top of the Rock and the shows during fashion week, our favorite thing to do in the city was EAT! We pigged out HARD and are missing the food in the city already! Our favorite places to grab grub were Mighty Quins Bbq, STK, Black Tap Burgers & Shakes, By Chloe, The Smith, Shake Shack, and Laduree for sweets/dessert! (We suggest not going to chains while you're in the city! There's so much good food to try!.. We didn't even get half way through our list of places to eat!)

For transportation we used Uber & the subway! Uber drivers are cheaper, nicer, and better drivers than Cabbies! (Taxi drivers.) The subway is 100% the way to travel though.. it's going to be the cheapest & quickest way to any destination! We used Google Maps to help us navigate through the city. Just hit "transit" or "subway" after you've entered in your destination!

We stayed at Arlo Hotel (Nomad location) and it was incredible! Reasonably priced for the area we were in, (it's on 5th avenue and two blocks away from the Empire State Building) our room was clean and new compared to all the other hotels we looked at, it had incredible views, and the nicest staff! Seriously, we made friends with half the staff there! Arlo has another hotel located in Soho that looks extremely similar and is priced a bit better if you're not wanting to stay in midtown!

Our photographer in NYC was non other than the incredible Ty French! Ty took our formals when we got married and we both LOVE his work! He shoots everything from commercial, to fashion, to weddings! He's also available for travel! We both love his style and recommend him as a photographer for ANYTHING! (Love you, Ty!)

Before we sign off, we just wanted to let you know you can see more of our trip & shop our outfits below! And if you're shopping the pink wrap top from Vici Collection, get it for 20% off with code BRIT20 at checkout! Hoping you all have the best day! xx

Happy Friday from the city! <3

This striped wrap dress from Vici Collection is/was my second look for New York Fashion Week! The city can be extremely humid, so this light weight dress + sandals were exactly what I needed while running around the city!

The wrap trend is seriously my FAVORITE right now. It's flattering on every body type and brings a feminine touch to your outfit. I saw a handful of wrap dresses + tops on the runways this past week, so I can garuntee if you get one now, it will still be trending next season! Vici has TONS of cute wrap dresses + tops online if you want to shop around for some! <3 Also, you can find this dress in smaller sizes HERE

Have a lovely weekend everyone! xx

Found a little apple in the big apple (; New York Fashion Week has been phenomenal, as always! NYFW ended yesterday, but Chase and I are here until the weekend to fully soak in this magical city.

This outfit was my day 1 look! A little spunk, but not over the top! A lot of the looks/street style pictures you see from NYFW are crazy/insane! Super fun, vibrant outfits, but not realistic for day to day wear. (Unless you're Rihanna, then its casual hahaa.) All of the looks I packed & wore are outfits I felt comfortable in and LOVE! I did 99% of my shopping for Fashion Week online at Vici Collection! Wether I was on the street, attending a show, or at an event, all of my Vici outfits were complimented, comfortable, fashionable, and stunning!

I know I've said this 5 million times, but you really NEED to check out Vici Collection! They're offering my followers 20% off their entire purchase with code "BRIT20" at checkout!

Well babes, I've gotta jet! So much to do, so little time! (Follow my adventures today on my ig stories if you'd like! @HappilyEverAllen!) Thanks for stopping by loves! xx

P.s. I promise I'll be answering all your Fashion Week questions in the next post or two! Stay tuned!
