I’m so excited to share these Easter Basket ideas for littles with you all! I hope this post puts a smile on your face and gets you and your littles looking forward to something while we’re all stuck in our homes! <3

The magic is back in holidays with a little one at home! Chase and I have had so much fun preparing for each and every one knowing it’s Chloés first! Easter was one of my favorite holidays growing up and still is to this day! We will be celebrating Easter in the Allen household quarantined or not, and I hope you all will too!

For Chloés Easter basket we decided to go with an actual storage basket! She can’t walk/egg hunt on her own, and we are lacking toy + blanket storage so getting a storage basket was a no brainer + saved us some dough! (I’ve linked some baskets we love above from target!) We’ll be filling her basket up with these beautiful Ballerina dolls, a rattle, a crown, baby luggage, and pom blanket from Alimrose! Alimrose is one of the cutest & classiest shops for littles I’ve found since having Chloé! They have a darling selection of dolls + bunnies right now too! I highly recommend checking them out if a “Kate Middleton” Easter is what you’re going for! Your Prince/Princess will love their shop too!

The Bunny will also be leaving books, an Easter outfit, stuffies, little toys, eggs, and some baby friendly treats! These two books above are some of our favorites! The “Mommy Mommy” book is Chloés absolute favorite and I’m not mad about it! (; She squeals when she sees it! Growing up the Easter bunny used to hide our Easter baskets and we’d have to search from them around the house with the help of a few clues! HAPPY (nearly) HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! <3 I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday filled with good food, family time, and of course, FOOTBALL!

Growing up at my house, Santa always left our presents unwrapped and I loved that! For Chloés BIG gift we decided to get her a rocker! This is something she’ll be using in the coming months and enjoy it the rest of her childhood! Pottery Barn Kids has 18 different animal rocker options and they’re all SO CUTE! I think it’s obvious at this point I have an obsession with fawn as of late, so I went with the fawn! Same with her stocking, had to have that cute little deer face on it! Chase and I opted for a Santa + a Snowman stocking for ourselves! We also adore the fur stockings. Pottery Barn can’t be beat when it comes to stockings! The stockings are generously sized too, so we can fit some good stocking stuffers inside! We opted for a cozy polar bear blanket, a precious modern teddy, some bath squirtles, Disney blocks, and a white noise machine stuffed lamb! These are all things she can enjoy now, and some even more later on down the road! (For instance, learning how to build up the blocks, or squirting water out of her bath toys!) Obviously we had Chloé “test out” all of these items, and I can truly say she loves them!

C H L O É I N T H E C I T Y

First trip as a family of three officially in the books! We took Chloé James to the city, it’s one of our very favorite places! Nothing really compares to New York City!

When booking this trip, Chase and I thought carefully about what we’d be doing and where we’d be staying in the city with a 2 month old baby girl! (We didn’t want her getting sick or too hot!) We found the PERFECT hotel to stay at though, the Intercontinental Barclay! It’s right on the line of being in mid town & the upper east side, so CLEAN! Our room was spacious and big! Much bigger than any room we’ve ever stayed in while in the city! (It was really clean and smelled amazing too!) The Intercontinental Barclay had a beautiful, spacious lobby with food right off to the side, a continental breakfast with all the options, and an enormous crystal chandelier that Chloé James loved to gaze at! (It was so cute!) The staff was incredibly helpful and so so kind! They always said hello to Chloé, helped us with our bags & stroller, and even got the elevator for us! (Talk about going the extra mile!) This hotel is also dog friendly! We thought about bringing PG with us but ultimately opted out considering it was our first time flying and traveling with a baby!

I’m not even going to lie to you guys.. I miss their bathroom! It was so beautiful! It had the prettiest sink, marble countertops, the cutest subway tile, and a mirror perfectly lit to get glammed up! #TakeMeBack! If you’re wanting to visit the city, Chase & I both highly recommend this hotel! Between the incredible staff, perfect location, and spacious suite, it was a 10/10 for us Happily Ever Allens!

Seeing Chloé in the city was honestly the cutest thing ever! You don’t see many babies in New York, so everyone who saw her lit up and smiled! She brought joy to so many New Yorkers! Chloé enjoyed Central Park, soho, the Brooklyn bridge, cab rides, lots of naps, and of course her stay at the Intercontinental Barclay! She also brought some zzz’s to the city that never sleeps! Poor baby girl was so tired! She’s little enough that she can snooze anywhere right now so Chase & I lucked out!

Once I became a mom to Chloé, catching some me time became scarce! (I don’t even have time to go to the bathroom somedays!) I’ve often felt gross and just dirty from changing diapers all day, bring spit up on, and not having the time to hop into the shower! 

Lucky for me though, I just found a new dry shampoo + dry conditioner and it’s unreal! Ever since we started building our home,  we’ve been on the hunt for the best furniture we can possibly find! (We’re officially all things house obsessed!)  

We scored when we found this beautiful modern couch from Burrow! We ordered this couch recently and it was shipped to our house in no time! Our Burrow was easy to set up, it’s comfortable, durable, and dang affordable! (They also offer financing on it through affirm!)

The thing we love very most about Burrows couches is you can easily switch the chaise to either end of the couch, and add or takeaway pieces! We haven’t found many couches like this on the market! You always have to select which side the chaise is on, but not with Burrow! This is perfect for us while we’re in the transitional stage of building and adding to our home collection!

We went with their Chaise King Sofa model and highly recommend it! In fact, we’re thibking about adding an arm chair and ottoman to complete the collection! 

Burrows come in a handful of sizes and shades, and there’s a few different options to tweek them to your ideal perfection! (Like the color of the legs, height on arm rests, etc!) We are excited to play around with this couch in our new home and see which way will look and fit best!

The blossoms are blooming and you know what that means.. SPRING is among us! It’s felt so nice outside lately. Heck, I’ve even been able to start wearing shorts & tanks out! (First time in Utah since 2018 started! FINALLY!)

I got this light blue/spring dream number from Lulus and have been living in it 24/7! (It’s just so cute, and the weather is too good!) The denim shorts have the perfect amount of stretch and the floral top is too fun! They’re both from brands I LOVE too which is always a bonus! (Top is Moon River & shorts are Free People!)

Also, I’ve been trying to keep up on my tan and think it shows quite nicely in these photos! (I use self tanner, not tanning beds!) I’ve tried just about every product you can think of and the one I’m obsessing over right now is this South Seas bottle! If you’re looking for a new self tanner to try out, this one is gold!

Feeling like a little ray of sunshine lately (: & dressing like one too! 

The weather in Laguna has been incredibly warm so I decided to rock this gingham set from Lulus around town & at the beach! (It’s a nice change from Utah where we’re still getting snow!)

Truth be told, us Allens haven’t had a proper Valentine’s Day! This will be our 6th one together, and we’ve yet to get it right! (We we’re both always on work trips over Valentine’s Day while we were dating, and since we’ve been married we’ve had to work all day and night on Valentine’s Day! WE SUCK!) We are BREAKING that habit though this year!

That being said, Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be something you go all out for! We promise you will survive! <3 On the other hand, if you love love, love holidays, love going over the top for that special someone in your life, there’s nothing wrong with going all out either!  <3 BOTH ARE GREAT!

Ice skating with a side of cocoa to warm you up! (Or cuddles. Either way!) If you’re in Utah, midway has the cutest little ice rink!  

Sledding! Any hill will do <3 don’t forget to warm your lover up afterwards! (;

Dinner at home! Cook together, light a candle, play some music, dress up, and enjoy! Don’t forget desert! Chocolate covered strawberries are easy and festive! (And delicious!) 

Create a “museum of love” or “book of us” for your lover! Take them to all the significant places in your life together or have things that mean a lot to both on display! OR take pictures of anything and everything that has helped build you as a couple and turn it into a cute love book! Can be as romantic and creative as you make it! Just have fun with it! <3

Car drives up the canyon with a love playlist made especially for them on repeat! (And maybe some Hershey kisses to snack on!)

Color Me Mine! It’s so relaxing, creative, cozy, and they have the best music playing! (This is one of our favorite places to go on dates!)  

Indoor skydiving + flow rider in Ogden! Super active, crazy fun date! (We’ve done this twice and LOVE it!) 

Rock Climbing! (Aka state at your lovers bumm while their life rests in your hands!) If in Utah, we recommend the Quarry!  

Ski/Snowboard/Snowmobile + Spa day! Hit the slopes then cool off in a hot tub followed by a facial or a massage! THE BEST!

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the extra long weekend and spending it in a fun, relaxing way! <3  

Chase & I are up the canyon camping with his family this weekend! I'm not much of a camper, but I do love being out in the cool mountain air! There's something about Utah mountains this time of year that's just magical. 

The leaves have barely started to change and its got me all excited for autumn! Everything about autumn makes me giddy. The crisp air, the colorful leaves, the holidays, the pumpkin flavored everything, and of course, the fashion! Fashion this time of year is better than any other time! (Cold enough to layer, but warm enough not to cover your outfit with a coat!) Kinda like this outfit!
