Adventure was found in my own backyard <3

I’ve caught the travel bug. I’m always aching to go somewhere new and beautiful. Today, I didn’t have to go far.  

Growing up I didn’t appreciate Utahs beauty. But after meeting my husband and seeing this state through his eyes, I can now see what he sees and I’m in love with this place too. <3 If you haven’t been here, get here. And if you’re dying for adventure, start in your backyard. Adventure is all around. 

This outfit is from Lulus! I love that I can wear there items literally anywhere. This dress would look as good in the city as it does in the mountains!

Anndd total side note, this is probably my second blog post ever where I’m not wearing makeup. I’m trying to be more comfortable in my own skin! So far it’s been a slow process, but it’s coming along!

Oh man guys..   this weekend was something out of a dream! My friend Quigley invited me on a road trip she had planned with a few other girls and it was the BEST TIME! Pretty views, new adventures, long talks, no sleep, and some new life long friends! It was the best!!!!

We went to Monument Valley and it was truly breathtaking! I have no idea how I’ve lived in Utah my whole life and not ventured out here until now! If you haven’t been you absolutely must go! (I’d also recommend you hit Moab & Goblin Valley while your at it!) 

In all truthfulness I’m dying to go back and I’m already planning a trip with Chase and my brothers to go visit this summer!  We stayed at The View Hotel and I’m definitely booking it again! 

While packing for this trip I didn’t know what to expect from the weather, so I grabbed one of everything in my closet! It was sunny but windy and cooled off so much once the sun set! I was SO glad I packed this hoodie! It was easy to throw on and was a total vibe with the red rock. Hashtag blending in!!!! (;  

I got it along with the rest of my outfit from Lulus! I also had a bag that matched the hoodie perfectly, but I’m a horrible long boarder and the bag was throwing me off hahaha! However, you can find it here! <3  

Speaking of outfits, keep an eye out on the gram the next few weeks! Quigley dressed me once while we were here and it’s probably the funnest/funkiest outfit I’ve ever worn! STAY TUNED!

The blossoms are blooming and you know what that means.. SPRING is among us! It’s felt so nice outside lately. Heck, I’ve even been able to start wearing shorts & tanks out! (First time in Utah since 2018 started! FINALLY!)

I got this light blue/spring dream number from Lulus and have been living in it 24/7! (It’s just so cute, and the weather is too good!) The denim shorts have the perfect amount of stretch and the floral top is too fun! They’re both from brands I LOVE too which is always a bonus! (Top is Moon River & shorts are Free People!)

Also, I’ve been trying to keep up on my tan and think it shows quite nicely in these photos! (I use self tanner, not tanning beds!) I’ve tried just about every product you can think of and the one I’m obsessing over right now is this South Seas bottle! If you’re looking for a new self tanner to try out, this one is gold!

Happy Tuesday everyone! We’re headed out to see Black Panther for the second time! Can’t get enough of Wakanda! (; What are you guys doing?!

We’re definitely sporting these casual outfits to theater! (Yes, dresses can be casual. Especially when they’re styled with sneaks!) I used to be on the fence about this trend, but it’s growing on me! What do you think? Would you pair sneakers with a dress?! <3

Happy New Year my loves! <3 Can you believe it’s 2018?! I can’t!.. I’m starting to feel old!

Whats up spooks?! HAPPY HALLOWEEN GUYS!

The older I get, the more fun I have with costumes & makeup on this wicked holiday! I love buying a costume/clothes that I would regularly wear, and just spicing it up with some good accessories & makeup! (Remember my pink unicorn from last year?! Same concept!) 

This year I headed to Lulus for my skeleton costume needs and found this black velvet dress! Perfect for Halloween & even more perfect to wear out on a date night! I totally scored with this dress! I also adore these boots and socks which I also scored at Lulus! (Also, if you remember my unicorn costume last year, it was all Lulus as well! They’re simply the best!)

For Chases costume, we decided that black on black was the way to go! Hole-y + distressed tee & jeans + the skell makeup and he’s good to go! 

I did our halloween makeup this year and it is in no way professional! But, after a few years of testing out Halloween makeup, I do have a few tips for you guys!  

1. Find a picture of Halloween makeup you like and copy it as best as you can! I continually look at the picture while doing my Halloween makeup and it helps a ton!!!!

2. Use as much real makeup as possible! (Aka don’t use the cheap stuff from the grocery store unless you have to!) Real makeup stays in place better, looks better, and feels better than the cheap Halloween makeup! (We did use cheap white cream that we found for $1.00 at target, but it was hard to work with! If you can find actual white makeup.. it’s going to look so much better!) You can shop the makeup we used/the makeup I recommend for this look below! 

3. Apply the makeup how you would regular makeup! Use brushes, bake your foundation, add detail, & BLEND the crap out of lines! I used foundation brushes, eye liner brushes, liquid eyeliner pens, and a beauty blender to complete our faces! 

4. TAKE YOUR SWEET TIME! Sure, you can throw the look on in 5 minutes, but if you go slow and pay attention to detail, it’s going to look soo much better! It took us 25 minutes to do our faces, and I honestly could have done better if I had the time! 

5. HAVE FUN! Be creative, get crazy, accentuate your features, and be unique! No two skells should be alike. (;

Black and white striped anything & EVERYTHING is and has always been my favorite thing to wear. You could say I like it A LATTE! (Cause it’s a latte, and I like it a latte.) HA! K I’ll stop being a dork now. 

I wanted to show this tee styled two ways and prove you can wear a simple tee to the office aside from the weekends! For a business casual look I paired this tee with a blazer and knee high boots, looking 100% office appropriate! After meetings/work I’d swap my sunglasses in for a cute cap like this and go hit the town/meet up with Chase for dinner! For a weekend look, I’d ditch the blazer altogether, swap the boots for some converse, possibly add a denim jacket, and I’m good to go! 

I got this entire outfit from Lulus and have been wearing it to and from meetings, on date night, and on the weekend! I really can’t get enough of these stripes! Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the extra long weekend and spending it in a fun, relaxing way! <3  

Chase & I are up the canyon camping with his family this weekend! I'm not much of a camper, but I do love being out in the cool mountain air! There's something about Utah mountains this time of year that's just magical. 

The leaves have barely started to change and its got me all excited for autumn! Everything about autumn makes me giddy. The crisp air, the colorful leaves, the holidays, the pumpkin flavored everything, and of course, the fashion! Fashion this time of year is better than any other time! (Cold enough to layer, but warm enough not to cover your outfit with a coat!) Kinda like this outfit!

New Denim Love = Re/Done

I've always been a bit of a "brand whore," so I've been in complete and total heaven this past year seeing many of my favorite old school brands (including LEVIS) make a comeback in the fashion industry!

I recently found Re/Done denim, and LOVE the vintage vibes their Levis put off! (Especially this skirt!)

Re/Done is all about restoring old fashion, creating luxury pieces that last, and most importantly providing individuality to the product & the customer! (The pair you're looking at online is the EXACT pair you're going to get!) I support Re/Dones movement to keep old school brands relevant, and look fabulous while doing so in #MyReDones! <3

Thinking about starting a brunch club, who's in? Jk. But wouldn't that be fun?! 

Utah has A TON of brunch/breakfast spots that C & I LOVE!  

Our absolute favorite spot is the Foundry Grill at Sundance! It's an all you can eat brunch on the mountainside. The food & the views are both heavenly! The Foundry has everything you could possibly imagine, and is the most bang for your buck. 10/10 would recommend! 

La Caille is a close second! Located in Sandy, La Caille is something out of a fairy tale! It looks like a castle, has the most beautiful grounds, and the food is to die! Watch out for animals though! If you're not paying attention, they might steal your breakfast before you've had the chance to dig in! (This has definitely happened to me a few times haha!)  

Our other favorite brunch spots include Apex at Montage located in Deer Valley, The Grand Americas all you can eat brunch lacated in Salt Lake, (complete with live blue grass band) Market Street Grills brunch downtown SLC, Stein Eriksens all you can eat brunch in Park City, Gurus in Provo, Maglebys, (multiple locations) and of course Mickey Ds. Jk on the Mickey Ds! However, McDonalds breakfast really is bomb!

Many of these restaurants do a special Mothers Day brunch! I think this would be a lovely thing to do with your family on Mothers Day! (I think The Grand Americas might take the cake if it's a comp!) 

&& side note: If you're a guy & think brunching is for chicks, shut cho mouth. Every time we've eaten brunch at The Grand America, we see athletes. Jazz, U of U, visitors, its rad. If you won't go for the food, go as a fan!  

Z E R M A T T

If you tapped into our instagram story this past week, you know we were shackin' it up at the incredible Zermatt Resort in Midway, Ut! (You know, the cute Swiss looking resort!)

We decided to celebrate our Valentine's Day a little early and booked ourselves the romance package at this breath taking resort! The romance package included chocolate covered strawberries, our choice of cider/champagne, rose petals throughout our suite, and a late check out! (Yeessss!) We added a couples massage to our romance package and it was the icing on the cake! 

When we first arrived at Zermatt and got to our room, we were stunned! The room was beautiful & the views were picture perfect. We both agreed that Zermatt is the perfect mountain hideaway! (Especially for us! Enough mountains/outdoor feels for Chase, & enough luxury for Brit!) 

(Beauty supplies, CHECK! T3 curler & strightener, old school Abercrombie perfume, & our Proactiv!)  

(There were the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us when we arrived! Best. Welcome. Ever.)  

The following day we slept in, (the bed was soo cozy) and took it easy! We decided to head down to Smoke Haus for breakfast! (One of two restaurants at the resort!) It did NOT disappoint! We ordered biscuits & gravy + eggs benedict and it was DIVINE!  (We love food all too much. Food is always a highlight!) 

Following breakfast, we headed to the spa to enjoy a massage! The massage therapists were AMAZING, and we felt light/relaxed the rest of the day! (The massage was much needed!) P.s. The spa was absolutely beautiful. It had a refreshing smell, and was a stunning space. We miss it there already! 

After our massage, we spent the rest of the afternoon taking it easy. We cuddled, enjoyed our view, took a stroll around the grounds, headed back down to the spa and took advantage of the sauna & steam rooms, and B had to indulge in the pool! (The water was so warm & the sun was out.. couldn't resist!)  

(Fun fact: they have some sort of Swiss music playing on the Resort grounds. Kind of awesome!)  

(Another p.s. This one piece suit is from Brits current favorite swim shop, EVERYTHING BUT WATER! They legit have every single GOOD swim brand. Truly a one stop swim shop! This swimmer is Mara Hoffman! Check out their website for the best swimsuits this season!)

Our stay definitely wasn't long enough. There were so many things on our list we didn't get do! The adventure at Zermatt continues with Skiing. Fly fishing. Scuba diving. Golf. Tennis. Swimming. Boating. Hiking. Horse trails. Bike trails. Climbing. Ziplines. Bob sledding. RZRs. ATVs. and Snowmobiles!

Zermatt is truly a resort where you can come to fully relax/be pampered, or play hard! (And obviously, the next time we visit will be purely for PLAY!)

 What's up peeps?! <3 

We just got back home from the Zermatt in Midway and absolutely loved it! (We'll put a post up of our adventure soon!) 

While we were there, we ventured out to one of our favorite places in Utah (Park City) to get in some fine dinning & shopping! First of all, we have to tell you about this incredible restaurant we went to called Riverhorse!!!! It's located on Main Street, and it was DIVINE! 10/10 would recommend for a hot date night or a celebration! (We ordered the surf & turf + the macadamia nut crusted Alaskan halibut. Both were heaven on earth.) 

After dinner, we shopped on main for a while because we were so STUFFED! (Gotta work off that din din!) All the things we bought/were drawn to were deep colored, kinda like our outfits above! Very neutral & casual. And let's be honest for a second, at this point, we are the definition of casual! 

Our favorite shops up there are Prospect, Flight, and Cake!  (&& the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory, but that one is a given!)
