Truth be told, us Allens haven’t had a proper Valentine’s Day! This will be our 6th one together, and we’ve yet to get it right! (We we’re both always on work trips over Valentine’s Day while we were dating, and since we’ve been married we’ve had to work all day and night on Valentine’s Day! WE SUCK!) We are BREAKING that habit though this year!

That being said, Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be something you go all out for! We promise you will survive! <3 On the other hand, if you love love, love holidays, love going over the top for that special someone in your life, there’s nothing wrong with going all out either!  <3 BOTH ARE GREAT!

Cheap dates<3

Take your chick fil’ bae to Chick Fil A! Come home to a cozy little scene with Netflix/Amazon prime movies ready to go! (We recommend “The Choice” on prime! Forts encouraged!)

Ice skating with a side of cocoa to warm you up! (Or cuddles. Either way!) If you’re in Utah, midway has the cutest little ice rink!  

Sledding! Any hill will do <3 don’t forget to warm your lover up afterwards! (;

Dinner at home! Cook together, light a candle, play some music, dress up, and enjoy! Don’t forget desert! Chocolate covered strawberries are easy and festive! (And delicious!) 

Create a “museum of love” or “book of us” for your lover! Take them to all the significant places in your life together or have things that mean a lot to both on display! OR take pictures of anything and everything that has helped build you as a couple and turn it into a cute love book! Can be as romantic and creative as you make it! Just have fun with it! <3

Car drives up the canyon with a love playlist made especially for them on repeat! (And maybe some Hershey kisses to snack on!)

Helicopter tour in your area! (If you’re in Utah, we recommend Temple square or Zion!) 

Color Me Mine! It’s so relaxing, creative, cozy, and they have the best music playing! (This is one of our favorite places to go on dates!)  

Indoor skydiving + flow rider in Ogden! Super active, crazy fun date! (We’ve done this twice and LOVE it!) 

Rock Climbing! (Aka state at your lovers bumm while their life rests in your hands!) If in Utah, we recommend the Quarry!  

Ski/Snowboard/Snowmobile + Spa day! Hit the slopes then cool off in a hot tub followed by a facial or a massage! THE BEST!

Taking advantage of Utahs scenery more than ever before. Honestly, I really love being outdoors. Especially in a cute outfit like this! I love how this outfit meshes with the mountains and the weather so perfectly. For once, I feel like I belong in Utah!   

I bought both this sweater & denim from Vici Collection! I knew I had to have them the second I saw them. I’ve been looking for a Pom Pom sweater and this one is the ultimate! It’s comfortable, soft, has the cutest poms, perfect neutral color, and it’s not over done on the poms, just perfect! I also fell in love with these suspender jeans the moment I tried them on! They’re like overalls, but more comfortable! (And in my opinion, a lil more fashionable as well!) 10/10 would recommend this entire outfit to you! Ok, who watched my insta stories yesterday?! <3 It was my moms 51st birthday, and I planned a little surprise for her!  

I contacted Good Things Utah (Utahs BEST day show) and the hosts from the show agreed to come have lunch at Blue Lemon and do nails at Amara Day Spa with my mom and I for her birthday! I didn’t mention anything to my mom and was anticipating her reaction for weeks!   (My mom has watched their show everyday for YEARS and is literally obsessed with them!.. The Good Things Utah hosts are Beyonce in her eyes!) 

When we got to Blue Lemon and she saw one of the Hosts by her birthday balloons, she started bawling. (Emphasis on BAWLING!) She couldn’t stop hugging/laughing/crying over the hosts! It was so cute!! I took a video but my phone glitched and it didn’t save! (Curse you apple update!) It was an amazing moment to witness!

After lunch we headed to Amara Day Spa (my go to salon & spa in Utah) with the GTU girls for some much needed pampering and girl talk! There was talk of dating, being a mom, how to properly put on your bra, and more! (I also convinced them to tell me what they’re dressing up as for Halloween! Sorry though, I don’t leak secrets!)

My mom was on cloud 9 the entire day! In fact, she’s still on cloud 9 today hahaa!  

I just wanted to say thank you to the GTU hosts for being so kind, loving, charitable, and for making my moms birthday the best yet! We are so grateful for all of you and love you from the bottom of our hearts! I also wanted to say thank you to Amara Day Spa for making us feel like princesses! There’s isn’t another place in Utah I would want to take all these beautiful women to for a day of pampering! 

Lastly, I want to say thank you to my MOM! Thanks for being my mom KAWI ANDWUS! You are an amazing woman & mother, and I’m lucky to be your daughter! Happy 51st mom <3 I love you!!

Hanging out in Park City this weekend while this outfit has me feeling like Paris! (But I’ll take Park City any day! It’s my favorite place in Utah!)  

I got this entire outfit from one of my all time favorite shops, Lulus! Lulus has some darling sweaters & sweater dresses right now, (like this grey one I’m wearing) as well as an incredible selection of fall boots + booties!

Feeling on top of the world at "Top of the Rock!" We took breaks inbetween the shows, meetings, and events to play tourist in the city! 

Top of the Rock, (on top of the Rockefeller center) was one of our favorite attractions! It's so high up, has the prettiest views, and you can see the Empire State Building perfectly from it! This is something we'll be going to every time we're in NYC from here on out! 

Some other touristy things we did and LOVED were the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo, Central Park, 9/11 Memorial, Empire State Building, Jimmy Fallon, Soho, the Highline, Hudson river, flatiron building, the Met, Wicked on Broadway, Yankee Stadium, and 5th Ave! We recommend visiting these places if you're headed to the city! 

We used City Pass to get discount attraction tickets and saved a couple hundred dollars! City Pass also got us through lines quickly on majority of the things we did! (Check out City Pass HERE!) We also found cheap broadway tickets on an app called Tickets Today, and cheap Yankees tickets as well on the Yankee Stadium app! We recommend these discount apps/tickets, they were AMAZING for us!  

Aside from Top of the Rock and the shows during fashion week, our favorite thing to do in the city was EAT! We pigged out HARD and are missing the food in the city already! Our favorite places to grab grub were Mighty Quins Bbq, STK, Black Tap Burgers & Shakes, By Chloe, The Smith, Shake Shack, and Laduree for sweets/dessert! (We suggest not going to chains while you're in the city! There's so much good food to try!.. We didn't even get half way through our list of places to eat!) 

For transportation we used Uber & the subway! Uber drivers are cheaper, nicer, and better drivers than Cabbies! (Taxi drivers.) The subway is 100% the way to travel though.. it's going to be the cheapest & quickest way to any destination! We used Google Maps to help us navigate through the city. Just hit "transit" or "subway" after you've entered in your destination!  

We stayed at Arlo Hotel (Nomad location) and it was incredible! Reasonably priced for the area we were in, (it's on 5th avenue and two blocks away from the Empire State Building) our room was clean and new compared to all the other hotels we looked at, it had incredible views, and the nicest staff! Seriously, we made friends with half the staff there! Arlo has another hotel located in Soho that looks extremely similar and is priced a bit better if you're not wanting to stay in midtown! 

Our photographer in NYC was non other than the incredible Ty French! Ty took our formals when we got married and we both LOVE his work! He shoots everything from commercial, to fashion, to weddings! He's also available for travel! We both love his style and recommend him as a photographer for ANYTHING! (Love you, Ty!)

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the extra long weekend and spending it in a fun, relaxing way! <3  

Chase & I are up the canyon camping with his family this weekend! I'm not much of a camper, but I do love being out in the cool mountain air! There's something about Utah mountains this time of year that's just magical. 

The leaves have barely started to change and its got me all excited for autumn! Everything about autumn makes me giddy. The crisp air, the colorful leaves, the holidays, the pumpkin flavored everything, and of course, the fashion! Fashion this time of year is better than any other time! (Cold enough to layer, but warm enough not to cover your outfit with a coat!) Kinda like this outfit!

Boyfriend jeans & bombers are the name of the game this season! (And hopefully every season <3 I love em both!)

Hey MTV, welcome to our crib! Well, our weekend crib! The last few days we had the opportunity to play & stay at one of our favorite hotels in Utah, Stein Eriksen Lodge! If you haven't been to Stein Eriksen, you're truly missing out! (And hopefully we can give you a taste of what you're missin!)

Stein Eriksen is a 5-Star resort located in our favorite place, Park City Utah! As you can see, it has the most beautiful views and surroundings, including the rooms! It feels like your in the middle of Norway while roaming the grounds at this beautiful mountain resort! 

While we were here we tried out everything Stein Eriksen has to offer! A beautiful pool, 24 hour room service, the award winning Glitretind restaurant, Utahs only 5-Star spa, and easy "in & out" access to Deer Valley ski resort!

Everything was absolutely phenomenal! (Including the staff! We fell in love with them!)

The pool was incredible, the food was TO DIE FOR, the spa was relaxing & therapeutic, (and gorgeous) and the in & out access at Deer Valley was amazing! (It may not be ski season, but it is perfect weather for mountain biking!)

If you've never been to a spa, you NEED to try it out! We LOVE THEM & love what they do for you! Spas destress, and detoxify you! They can make your skin glow, and clear your sinuses as well! If you're working on your body, try the "Hydra-Shock" treatment! You do 3, 10 minute hot treatments (the sauna, the hot tub, and the steam shower) and between each one, submerge yourself in the cold pool for 30 seconds! Putting your body into shock like that is amazing for you! Not only will it relax, de-stress, and detoxify you, BUT it will burn 1000 calories! Sounds crazy, but it works! This is by far my favorite thing to do at the spa! They also offer massages, facials, & couples treatments! 

Our room was perfection! Perfect size, beautiful view out on the deck, every tv station imaginable, stunning bathroom, and tub big enough to swim in! We did NOT want to leave!

Something exciting is happening at Stein right now, and I can hardly wait for it! They're EXPANDING! More to love is on its way! Entertainment Center, Coffee Bar, Pool Lounge Expansion, Family Pool, Expanded Ski Locker Rooms, Expanded Outdoor Plaza Event Space, & Theater Room! 

A few things I didn't get pictures of that Stein Eriksen has to offer is their on site activities for children, child care, a shuttle that takes you around Park City, gift shops, and a beautiful gym!

New Denim Love = Re/Done

I've always been a bit of a "brand whore," so I've been in complete and total heaven this past year seeing many of my favorite old school brands (including LEVIS) make a comeback in the fashion industry!

I recently found Re/Done denim, and LOVE the vintage vibes their Levis put off! (Especially this skirt!)

We're so excited to share our stay at The Inn at Entrada with you all! This is our favorite resort in Southern Utah, and know you'll love it just as much as we do! (Photography by Gideon Photo!)

Had to keep my hair looking shiny & bright on vacation, so I packed my Oribe Silverati shampoo + conditioner.  

Mersea bubble bath, body wash, and lotion. My favorite!  

We checked into Entrada last Friday to a BEAUTIFUL, modern suite! (We were dying!.. & running around like kids on Christmas!) Everything was perfection! The bedroom was romantic, the living room had a fireplace, the tub had jets, the blinds were remote controlled, the bed was comfier than a cloud, the kitchen was fully loaded, there was a garage for our car, a patio out of the back door, a washer + dryer in the closet, two tvs in the bedroom + living room, the ceiling had windows bringing in the most beautiful light all day long, and the backyard not only had a fire pit, BUT A VIEW! If you looked on our Instagram story last weekend, you would have witnessed this all!

The Grille <3

After settling in, we were famished and decided to try out the Grille at Entrada for dinner. Fine dining with an even fine-er view! (Insert heart eyes here) The Grille has windows lining the back wall, and we got lost in the red rock view while digging into our Steak & Lobster feast! (FYI it tasted five billion times better than it looks! And we are hard to please so that's sayin somthin!)

The following two days of our stay, we lost track of time! We walked the beautiful grounds of the resort, snagged cinnamon rolls for breakfast, (complimentary from the lobby) hung out at the ponds and fed the ducks, lounged at the pool, (see pics of the outdoor pool on THIS blog post) took advantage of the gym on site, and got some golf in! (Golf basically took up the time we were going to spend at the spa!.... Sorry we didn't squeeze it in for you guys to see! It's absolutely stunning!)

Let's talk golf for a minute! We both LOVE golf! One of us sucks, and one of us is a pro. (Bet ya can't tell which one HAHAA!) Jokes, jokes.

Lava Fields! 

The Johnny Miller golf course (located at the resort) is our favorite in Utah. Golfing here is an experience. (Starting with an employee dropping a cart off at your front door.) You can't find a view better than hole #16 anywhere! (We're not lying, go look at the pictures again!) To play here, you either have to be staying at the Inn, or be a member of the country club. (Or live here, which you can do!)

The first 9 holes are lined with a never ending pond/river/waterfall contraption. And ducks. And bunnies. And cacti + blooms. It's something out of a dream! When you get to the last few holes, you'll find yourself in a field of black lava. Extremely hard holes, but extremely fun game! These holes have the best view at the resort, giving you front row seats to the red rock show!

If golfing, swimming, and spa-ing isn't your thing, Entrada is located just minutes away from Tuacahn where you can catch a play or a concert! OR you could take a hike in Snow Canyon National park just up the road, or head to Zion! If you're into fitness, you could head to the tennis & pickle ball courts, the volley ball court, or shoot some hoops! You could also schedule a class with a fitness instructor! (They have anti gravity work out equipment and we're BUMMED we didn't have time to try a class out!)

If you've fallen head over heels for Entrada like we have, you should be thrilled to hear they do weddings, events, meetings, and more! (I don't know what category "Disney" falls under, but the film "High School Musical 2" was filmed here!)

I suppose the Coke themed outfits are an annual thing for me now! I just realized this is my 4th year in a row rocking a Coca-Cola get up! Kendall Jenner may have turned you all to Pepsi.. but COKE is the TRUTH y'all!

Thinking about starting a brunch club, who's in? Jk. But wouldn't that be fun?! 

Utah has A TON of brunch/breakfast spots that C & I LOVE!  

Our absolute favorite spot is the Foundry Grill at Sundance! It's an all you can eat brunch on the mountainside. The food & the views are both heavenly! The Foundry has everything you could possibly imagine, and is the most bang for your buck. 10/10 would recommend! 

La Caille is a close second! Located in Sandy, La Caille is something out of a fairy tale! It looks like a castle, has the most beautiful grounds, and the food is to die! Watch out for animals though! If you're not paying attention, they might steal your breakfast before you've had the chance to dig in! (This has definitely happened to me a few times haha!)  

Our other favorite brunch spots include Apex at Montage located in Deer Valley, The Grand Americas all you can eat brunch lacated in Salt Lake, (complete with live blue grass band) Market Street Grills brunch downtown SLC, Stein Eriksens all you can eat brunch in Park City, Gurus in Provo, Maglebys, (multiple locations) and of course Mickey Ds. Jk on the Mickey Ds! However, McDonalds breakfast really is bomb!

Many of these restaurants do a special Mothers Day brunch! I think this would be a lovely thing to do with your family on Mothers Day! (I think The Grand Americas might take the cake if it's a comp!) 

&& side note: If you're a guy & think brunching is for chicks, shut cho mouth. Every time we've eaten brunch at The Grand America, we see athletes. Jazz, U of U, visitors, its rad. If you won't go for the food, go as a fan!

Hello loves & HAPPY FRIDAY!! What are y'all doing this weekend?! 

Ok, a week and a half ago I was on my Instagram story telling you guys about this amazing makeup I just tried from The Perfect Face! (This should sound familiar to most of you because I had a jillion emails come in after posting the video clips!) 

I have always had a love/hate relationship with makeup. I want to be fully covered, yet natural looking. I have struggled with that balance my entire life!! I have extremely oily skin, and growing up would often look orange an hour after applying my makeup because of my oils! And then I'd have to go to the bathroom, try to cover it with powder, which would make my face look cakey, and it would result back to orangey oiliness within an hour. (I'm not kidding. People would make fun of me for it. And it lasted for 6 years.. It. Sucked.) 

Then one day (hallelujah + pwaise the lawd) Utah Valley got a Sephora and I basically moved in! Being able to test out different makeup/products (alongside my proactiv face wash) saved me and my orange self. (God bless you sephora & all your samples!) 

Fast forward a couple of years to NOW and I finally understand makeup! I still have problems with makeup (like I occasionally turn myself orange and mess up,) but hey, I'm getting better with each passing day! 

The biggest struggle I've had with makeup this last year is that I always seem to look younger than I'd like. I'm a married woman, and want to look/feel like a woman! (My body is similar to a 12 year old boys shape/size & my face looks about 18 years old.) These aren't bad things!.. But some days, I just really want to look & feel like a mature, empowered, sexy woman. 

Rewind two weeks ago and the ups guy drops a package off from The Perfect Face. (Makeup!) I'm going to be honest, I'm wasn't  expecting much, but I was excited to try it!

The next morning I use the entire line while getting ready and I instantly started noticing differences!! A little went a long way with EVERYTHING! All of the makeup had incredible coverage without looking cakey, and my face was practically glowing! (If you saw my Instagram story from that day, you'll understand what I mean by glowy!) 

When Chase saw me after I had the makeup on, he realized something was different. Which is a huge deal! Since when do guys notice things like that?! NEVER! 

I gained something very important from this makeup. Somehow, after it was all applied, I looked more like a woman. (& I wasn't even wearing my vs bombshell.) I don't really know how to explain it, but I did. I could see it, my husband could see it, I was rocking this hot confidence for the rest of the day, it was amazing! It's exactly what I've been looking for this past year! <3

Just a quick background on The Perfect Face: this is the makeup that is used for the Miss USA pageants. It's created to look fresh throughout the entire day, cover fully, and last a lifetime. 

I can honestly say I love every single one of these products. I wanted to share my favorite three with you guys today! The highlighter, the blush, and the lipstick!  

The Highlighter has the most incredible shine. I swept it over my nose and cheeks once and that was all I needed! Same with the blush. Three sweeps across my cheeks and I was golden! The lipstick is my absolute favorite though. It has these brown tones in it that are truly beautiful.. I wear it every day now! I also think the coloring in the blush and lipstick are key factors to making me look more woman like. I could be wrong, but I think there's a high possibility it could be these two products!

Sunday best wearing head to toe Lulus. <3 This shift dress is one of my new favorites! It comes in 8 different colors, and I have it in 3! (I couldn't resist the blush pink & beige colors.. they are gorgeous!!) I love how simple yet stunning this dress is. It's perfect for a bridesmaid dress! I wish they had these when I got married for my bridesmaids, the girls would have loved them!!!! 

Another thing I wish I had when I got married is this wallet iPhone case from SkinIt! (I lost my wallet on my wedding day and was in a panick!) Now when I lose my wallet, I just call my phone!

In honor of Disneys Beauty & the Beast releasing this weekend (FINALLY) it was only fitting that this post be titled "Lumiere" after my (Yo what up it's Brit) favorite character! Lumiere means "light" in French, and these pictures are beaming with light! 

How many of you have tickets to go see Beauty and the Beast this weekend?! <3 We wouldn't miss it for the world!! It's one of Chase & my all time favorites! <3 

Alright, I wanna talk about another favorite of mine! I found a shop called Daisy Dukes while living in Texas last summer and instantly fell in love with their clothes! Lucky for me, Daisy Dukes has an online store so I can still shop with them! Lately I've been obsessed with their graphic tees, especially their band selections! (Legit there's like 20 tees I need from their shop right now..) When I saw this John Wayne tee in their shop though, I HAD to get it! Chases idol is John Wayne, (mine is Bruce Wayne) needless to say, this tee is a must have! (especially if you have some country in your blood!) Another-nother favorite thing are these phone cases from Case App! Two of the cases I custom made and it was the easiest thing in the world! You just upload the picture you want to use and position it on the screen! (I made mine from my phone, it was a piece of cake!!) These custom cases are perfect personal gifts to give to friends/loved ones. <3 I've already ordered a few for some loved ones and can't wait to see their reactions!! <3

 What's up peeps?! <3 

We just got back home from the Zermatt in Midway and absolutely loved it! (We'll put a post up of our adventure soon!) 

While we were there, we ventured out to one of our favorite places in Utah (Park City) to get in some fine dinning & shopping! First of all, we have to tell you about this incredible restaurant we went to called Riverhorse!!!! It's located on Main Street, and it was DIVINE! 10/10 would recommend for a hot date night or a celebration! (We ordered the surf & turf + the macadamia nut crusted Alaskan halibut. Both were heaven on earth.) 

After dinner, we shopped on main for a while because we were so STUFFED! (Gotta work off that din din!) All the things we bought/were drawn to were deep colored, kinda like our outfits above! Very neutral & casual. And let's be honest for a second, at this point, we are the definition of casual! 

Our favorite shops up there are Prospect, Flight, and Cake!  (&& the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory, but that one is a given!)
