I've never been the best at "rainbow road," (if you don't know what I mean, refer to Mario Kart. Also you missed out on childhood.) buutt I am completely in love with this rainbow road! And NOT because it's multicolored, but because of the LGBT community!
It's amazing to me to see Utah, one of the most conservative states, show pride, love, and stand up for & with the LGBT community by painting the stairs & crosswalks at Gateway rainbow! Theres a two month period out of each year where I craavvee color! Hint* the time is now! The blazing Utah heat and long lit days turn my neutral themed closet into a rainbow! (It also turns my chocolate cravings into fruit.. but that's irrelevant!)
When I saw this swimsuit & cover up at Free People (one of my favorite shops) I HAD to have them! There's not a cuter outfit + swimmer to wear to the pool or the beach than this Free People duo!
And as far as accessories go, my unicorn from #Floaty is taking the crown! This unicorn is my favorite pool float I've ever owned! Not because it's giant, or rainbow, or darling, but because it inflates and deflates SO FAST! Honestly it takes 2 minutes to inflate (which is LIGHTNING FAST compared to all of my other floats) and deflates in a minute! (Also, crazy crazy fast compared to the rest of my collection!) If you've been wanting a floaty, this unicorn is your jam!

I've loved this "picnic blanket" pattern since I was a kid, and am thrilled it's trending right now! I've tried purchasing gingham tops & dresses for myself the past 5 years, but Chase always shoots it down! (We help each other shop!) Anyways.. He's finally starting to see the beauty in this classic print and I'm officially hoarding it! (Aka give me all the gingham before my husband hates it again hahaa!)
While I was shopping online I found this suit from Piper & Scoot and got it IMMEDIATELY! I think it's the absolute cutest! I was actually really surprised how beautifully it blended in with the Utah scenery! I was invisioning a beach trip for this one piece, but now I'm thinking picnic up the canyon & a dip in the lake!

This little number saved my life while I was in St. George this past week! It's the perfect summer outfit that doubles as a pool coverup! Wear your suit underneath, unbutton + knot the shirt when the sun comes out, and you're golden!

I'm currently on a little family staycation and I had to bring this outfit I got from RubyClaire! We're in St. George (aka 103 degree weather) and this top + this pair of jeans were light & thin enough to wear without making me break a sweat! (Not to mention, unbelievably cute!)
You all know how much I love my "jeans and a tee shirt" outfits.. So this was a perfect spin! Add a little touch of feminine with those scallops, then brought it back to casual with the ripped denim & the flats!

Summer is calling, and so are the mountains! The older I get, the more I fall in love with Utah. It's truly beautiful here!
We may not have palm trees, fresh fruit, or beaches, but our mountains are truly amazing. From Zions red rock, to the pines up at Sundance, you can't beat our views. (If you haven't been to Utah, get your a$$ up here this summer! I promise you won't regret it!)
When summer hits my wardrobe shifts shades. My winter blacks turn to summer whites! This dress is a new addition this year and I had to have it!!!! It's as elegant as a wedding dress, yet simple enough to wear out at night. I got it online from Lulus and am loving their summer selects right now! (Especially their white dress shop!)

It's been a wonderful week filled with with non stop family fun! Between school ending, graduations, my mother in law retiring (congrats again mom <3) and the whole family coming into town, there wasn't a single minute wasted the past couple of days!
Anndd I won't lie, I'm POOPED! Heck, I was pooped from the get go! So today I'm feeling beyond grateful for the sabbath. I love being able to relax, feel the spirit, and become closer to my Heavenly Father. <3

New Denim Love = Re/Done
I've always been a bit of a "brand whore," so I've been in complete and total heaven this past year seeing many of my favorite old school brands (including LEVIS) make a comeback in the fashion industry!
I recently found Re/Done denim, and LOVE the vintage vibes their Levis put off! (Especially this skirt!)
Re/Done is all about restoring old fashion, creating luxury pieces that last, and most importantly providing individuality to the product & the customer! Going back to basics and hitting the street!
I adore the simplicity in each of these pieces I'm wearing! I'm especially crushing on this light cashmere sweater <3 it's my new favorite top! (And it's perfect for Utah nights!) I snagged it from The Sept Label and I now need one of everything from their line! I'm also in love with this Duluth Pack leather backpack! It holds everything you could ever need to carry, it's stunning, and it looks good on the fellas + us ladies! (I wanted this backpack for me, but Chase basically owns it hahaa!) The J Slides & Levis speak for themselves, (insert heart eyes emoji here) and this necklace is stunning and dear to my heart!
Nashelle gifted this necklace to me right after my dad passed away in January. The little bar says "BA" (My dads initials & nickname, mine as well) and the large bar says "FOREVER." Not a day goes by where I don't wear these necklaces/think of my dad. <3

Growing up, I HATED school dances! I loved dancing!.. But I hated getting ready, wearing a fancy dress, and trying to make everyone's night perfect.. it was too much pressure and hype for one night!
5 years down the road and I finally feel like I want to go to prom! (& excited to go!) Unfortunately for me, that time is LONG GONE! But it isn't for all of you! I have a few tips and tricks I want to share with you all regarding your prom night, a night out, or a fancy date! These are things I wish someone would have told me when I was younger, and I hope they can help you in one way or another!
Tip Numero Uno: Be Your Self. Don't have someone do your hair and makeup, don't throw glitter all over yourself, don't act like anyone else.. Just Be You. You're going to feel a lot better (and a whole lot more comfortable) if you stay true to you! (Not to mention, your date will appreciate it.) I can't tell you how many times I tried to get ready and overdid it. And my date was terrified of me. I'm not even sure if he recognized me! Not only was it weird for my date, but for me as well! I didn't feel or look like myself which put me in an awkward funk.
2: If you must do something to change your appearance, get a spray tan! Not a tanning bed tan, a spray or self tan! Tanning beds are so bad for you.. stay far away from that crap. I use multiple self tanners for shoots and have 3 favorites! My very favorite is Mystic Tans instant tan! It sprays on easily and doesn't look orange or fake. I also like these self tanning wipes and this self tanning mouse. I switch off between all of these products! (Having the self tanner on your face will also make your makeup look AMAZING! It glows through!)
3: Keep it simple & don't break your bank! Simplicity is classic. If you're looking for simple dresses, I love a handful at Rachel Allan! (That's where this emerald dress is from!) I wish I would have known about Rachel Allan when I was in high school. My family didn't have enough money for me to buy a prom dress, (or any dress for that matter) but the Rachel Allan dresses are much more affordable than other brands I've seen! And if you can afford dresses for every dance, keep in mind you're only going to wear the dress once!.. Do you really need a $3000.00 dress that will sit in your closet for the rest of forever?....
4: Have FUN! Don't overthink the date.. It's supposed to be FUN, not perfect. Nothing will ever be perfect no matter how hard you try or how much you want it to be. You're young, so enjoy the moment and have a blast with your friends!
5: Have an emergency bag. Phone, keys, Advil, pads, band aids, lip gloss, powder, pony tail holder, q-tips, treats, gum, phone charger, and something to change into. (Am I forgetting anything?.... Feel free to add to that list!) You never know what might happen while you're out, and it always pays off to be prepared! I've gotten blisters and needed a band aid, I've cried and needed q-tips to help clean up the mess, I've started my period in a dress that wasn't even MINE, (That was by far the worst!) and I got stuck in my dress watching a movie while everyone else was snuggled up in pajamas. Guys, make an emergency bag! I promise it will make your night so much better!
6: Don't feel pressured to kiss your date. Don't let your mom pressure you, your friends, or your date. So what if they're taking you out on a nice date.. you do not owe them anything but a genuine thank you!
7: Anndd if you do want to kiss your date, GO FOR IT! Don't be scared! They asked you for a reason.. even if you're just friends. If you had a good time, and are feeling it, I'd say go for it! I had a date that I really wanted to kiss, but I was way too afraid. He was one of my best friends and I didn't want anything to happen to our friendship. For almost a year after our date, I regretted not giving him a kiss. Now obviously this doesn't matter anymore (cause I've found my Prince Charming and he's everything to me) but it won't hurt you to go out of your way and make a move. It will only make you stronger!
8: Wear comfortable shoes, wear a bra that won't fall off, and wear underwear that doesn't show through your dress. Speaking from experience here people.
9: If you must practice your dance moves, I'd suggest watching Napoleon Dynamite. It's the only dance worth memorizing.
10: Love yourself.
Love your heart, your head, your body, your face, and your life. Prom is one night.. You are eternal. Don't lose sight of that.
Anndd 11: If you need a date, I'll totally go with you.

Had to keep my hair looking shiny & bright on vacation, so I packed my Oribe Silverati shampoo + conditioner.
Mersea bubble bath, body wash, and lotion. My favorite!
We checked into Entrada last Friday to a BEAUTIFUL, modern suite! (We were dying!.. & running around like kids on Christmas!) Everything was perfection! The bedroom was romantic, the living room had a fireplace, the tub had jets, the blinds were remote controlled, the bed was comfier than a cloud, the kitchen was fully loaded, there was a garage for our car, a patio out of the back door, a washer + dryer in the closet, two tvs in the bedroom + living room, the ceiling had windows bringing in the most beautiful light all day long, and the backyard not only had a fire pit, BUT A VIEW! If you looked on our Instagram story last weekend, you would have witnessed this all!
The Grille <3
After settling in, we were famished and decided to try out the Grille at Entrada for dinner. Fine dining with an even fine-er view! (Insert heart eyes here) The Grille has windows lining the back wall, and we got lost in the red rock view while digging into our Steak & Lobster feast! (FYI it tasted five billion times better than it looks! And we are hard to please so that's sayin somthin!)

The following two days of our stay, we lost track of time! We walked the beautiful grounds of the resort, snagged cinnamon rolls for breakfast, (complimentary from the lobby) hung out at the ponds and fed the ducks, lounged at the pool, (see pics of the outdoor pool on THIS blog post) took advantage of the gym on site, and got some golf in! (Golf basically took up the time we were going to spend at the spa!.... Sorry we didn't squeeze it in for you guys to see! It's absolutely stunning!)
Let's talk golf for a minute! We both LOVE golf! One of us sucks, and one of us is a pro. (Bet ya can't tell which one HAHAA!) Jokes, jokes.

Lava Fields!
The Johnny Miller golf course (located at the resort) is our favorite in Utah. Golfing here is an experience. (Starting with an employee dropping a cart off at your front door.) You can't find a view better than hole #16 anywhere! (We're not lying, go look at the pictures again!) To play here, you either have to be staying at the Inn, or be a member of the country club. (Or live here, which you can do!)
The first 9 holes are lined with a never ending pond/river/waterfall contraption. And ducks. And bunnies. And cacti + blooms. It's something out of a dream! When you get to the last few holes, you'll find yourself in a field of black lava. Extremely hard holes, but extremely fun game! These holes have the best view at the resort, giving you front row seats to the red rock show!
If golfing, swimming, and spa-ing isn't your thing, Entrada is located just minutes away from Tuacahn where you can catch a play or a concert! OR you could take a hike in Snow Canyon National park just up the road, or head to Zion! If you're into fitness, you could head to the tennis & pickle ball courts, the volley ball court, or shoot some hoops! You could also schedule a class with a fitness instructor! (They have anti gravity work out equipment and we're BUMMED we didn't have time to try a class out!)
If you've fallen head over heels for Entrada like we have, you should be thrilled to hear they do weddings, events, meetings, and more! (I don't know what category "Disney" falls under, but the film "High School Musical 2" was filmed here!)

It's almost summer and I couldn't be more prepared! I've got all my suits, self tanners, and beach toys ready! Now all I need is the sun! (Utah.. whenever you're ready!.. But asap plz!)
C & I escaped the snow last Friday and headed down to St George! We stayed at a beautiful resort called the Inn at Entrada! (Blog post to come on Entradas resort shortly!) It felt amazing to lounge in the sun all day and break in some of my summer buys!
I put all of my favorite swim suits, sun blocks, tanners, and pool accessories on rotation below for you guys to shop! As of right now, these are my crushes!
This scalloped bikini from Everything But Water is my FAVORITE suit! The scallops are to die for, (Literally, I'd die for this suit) and the material is durable. I can tell this suit will last a me long time! Minimal ware & tear.
For tanning I'm using Kate Somervilles self tanning wipes! They don't leave streaks, they don't have a smell, they don't feel sticky on your skin, and you see results fast! I've tried every self tanner on the planet, and these wipes have the best results with the least maintenance!
There are SO MANY accessories I love, but this rose gold flamingo takes the cake! I snagged him (yes, him. His name is Fobbio.) from Sunny Life Australia and I have a feeling that he & I will be inseparable this summer!

Thinking about starting a brunch club, who's in? Jk. But wouldn't that be fun?!
Utah has A TON of brunch/breakfast spots that C & I LOVE!
Our absolute favorite spot is the Foundry Grill at Sundance! It's an all you can eat brunch on the mountainside. The food & the views are both heavenly! The Foundry has everything you could possibly imagine, and is the most bang for your buck. 10/10 would recommend!
La Caille is a close second! Located in Sandy, La Caille is something out of a fairy tale! It looks like a castle, has the most beautiful grounds, and the food is to die! Watch out for animals though! If you're not paying attention, they might steal your breakfast before you've had the chance to dig in! (This has definitely happened to me a few times haha!)
Our other favorite brunch spots include Apex at Montage located in Deer Valley, The Grand Americas all you can eat brunch lacated in Salt Lake, (complete with live blue grass band) Market Street Grills brunch downtown SLC, Stein Eriksens all you can eat brunch in Park City, Gurus in Provo, Maglebys, (multiple locations) and of course Mickey Ds. Jk on the Mickey Ds! However, McDonalds breakfast really is bomb!
Many of these restaurants do a special Mothers Day brunch! I think this would be a lovely thing to do with your family on Mothers Day! (I think The Grand Americas might take the cake if it's a comp!)
&& side note: If you're a guy & think brunching is for chicks, shut cho mouth. Every time we've eaten brunch at The Grand America, we see athletes. Jazz, U of U, visitors, its rad. If you won't go for the food, go as a fan!
