Alright peeps, how many of you have heard of the new Netflix rage "13 Reasons Why?"  

I got sick over the weekend and ended up binge watching the entire show. (13 episodes. And that's saying A LOT because I don't watch tv/Netflix!)  

If you haven't heard of 13 Reasons, let me introduce it to you. This is a Netflix series about a teenage girl who committed suicide and left behind 13 pre-recorded tapes of her reasons why.

The show draws you in and makes you feel countless emotions.. I've never gone through so many emotions while watching a show. Maybe it's because it hits close to home, (I've had family members attempt to take their lives a handful of times) but whatever the reason, I'm glad I had the opportunity to have my eyes opened.

All of the characters in the series are different, but they all do things that we can relate to. And they all feel things that we have all felt. That's one of the reasons why I loved this show so much. 

13 Reasons Why talks about things that aren't publicly talked about. (Spoiler alert: this is not just a show about suicide.) When something bad is going on, people like to hide it, which is NOT always a good thing! Somethings NEED to be worked through & talked about. Even if they are awful, uncomfortable, & hard.

If you don't mind a handful of choice words, (eff eff & eff) and can handle a few rough scenes/if you want to open up your eyes/if you've ever been wronged or done something hurtful to others or yourself, I HIGHLY recommend watching 13 Reasons Why! 

Before you take my word for it and start watching, know that this show IS graphic. It's hard to watch at times, and can make you feel uncomfortable. In the end though, if it can change you as a person/help you, I think it's worth it. <3  

This show has brought me comfort, realization, and has made me want to be a better person. I know it will do the same for many others.

Hey loves! 

I wanted to start something new where once a week I'll be sharing actual snippets of my daily life! I'm gonna call them "Photo Stories!" (Which is not clever in the slightest because they're literally just photos that I'm turning into a story.. hahaa!)

The reason I want to post Photo Stories is because it's more real. I don't have a full face of make up, a professional photographer, perfectly edited images, in the most prime location. This is going to be more every day life!.. Raw + real!

To start it off; this is currently my go to outfit. $30.00 band merch that I snagged from Brandy Melville, black distressed skinny jeans, black handbag, and nude heels or my adidas superstars. (P.s. these heels are my FAVORITE I've ever owned. I got them from M.Gemi! They have tons of unique styles, you need to check them out!)

I'm OBSESSED with food and have a list of 100 places I want to try in Utah! I finally got a second yesterday to run into "Taste," (A chocolate restaurant) and I'm so glad I did! I grabbed a dark chocolate bar made in house, and a milk chocolate bar from Australia! They were divine! (Chocolate bars pictured above.) You could say I'm in luhve with the Koko. (;  (Name that song. Jk don't.) 

While at Taste I was asking the chocolatier what his favorite chocolates are and what he would recommend. Long story short getting the chocolate bars was a bad idea because they do actual chocolate tastings. A. Chocolate. Tasting. And full on desserts!!!! I missed out BIG TIME! It's OK though. I guess this means I'll have to go again soon! <3 

A few Utah restaurants that are on my list to try are Forte, Chip cookie, Copper onion, Finca, Purple sage, and Handle! What are some on yours?! Seriously comment below! I would love to hear your favorite Utah restaurants and the ones you're dying to try!

Hello Lovers <3 <3 

We promised this year we'd be sharing more than just our regular fashion posts. (Adding beauty, more lifestyle, and more intimate/personal posts since you guys request them all the time!)  

We wanted to share our top 10 all time favorite images of us as a couple with y'all in hopes that they might bring a smile to your face & possibly inspire you. 

If you're lonely, going through a trial, or if you're a non believer in love, we hope that these can help in some way. <3 Here's to you.  

1. This snap here is dear to my (Brits) heart. Not because of the view, but because of how Chase was while up on the mountain top. I didn't have shoes on so he was carrying me around. And every time I got too close to the edge he would step in to make sure I stayed safe. It's the little things C does that make me feel the most loved. 

2. This picture here is a gem and marks a milestone in our relationship. I broke up with Chase an insane amount of times while we were dating because I was afraid of so many things.. Afraid of failure, of other people stepping in, of marriage.. literally an endless list. But on this day, (legit this day) my fear subsided and our relationship moved forward. <3   

3. The biggest smiles. <3  

4. This was taken after a shoot of (pretend) tackle football with my brothers. Chase had to turn it into actual tackle football and I'm so glad he did! It made for the best memory. 

5. The moment after we got engaged. Pure happiness. <3  

6. A snap from our engagements that always sweeps me off my feet. The day we took our engagement photos I was panicked.. It was stormy outside and I was worried about the light & wind. Chase kept me happy and laughing the entire shoot and changed my panicked feelings into bliss. His love + energy even made me forget about the crappy weather! (Although after seeing the photos, I think the weather worked to our advantage!)  

7. A full embrace. I live for hugs like this. (Thanks again crappy weather.) 

8. This snap here is from our wedding day aka the greatest day of my life thus far. <3 I love this picture more than words can express.. Chase has always fueled me/lifted me up since day one, and this picture is reminder of just that. Without him, I wouldn't be able to do what I love/be where I am today. I owe everything to him. <3 

9. One more from our special day that is my screensaver on every device. This is what life is all about. When I look at this, I'm reminded about what's most important in life and where my focus should be.  

10. A more intimate favorite. This is the only shoot we've done like this, ever. And this is the only picture I've seen from it. There was so much kissing and passion and laughing going on while taking these photos. There's no way it couldn't make my top 10. <3

Hello loves & HAPPY FRIDAY!! What are y'all doing this weekend?! 

Ok, a week and a half ago I was on my Instagram story telling you guys about this amazing makeup I just tried from The Perfect Face! (This should sound familiar to most of you because I had a jillion emails come in after posting the video clips!) 

I have always had a love/hate relationship with makeup. I want to be fully covered, yet natural looking. I have struggled with that balance my entire life!! I have extremely oily skin, and growing up would often look orange an hour after applying my makeup because of my oils! And then I'd have to go to the bathroom, try to cover it with powder, which would make my face look cakey, and it would result back to orangey oiliness within an hour. (I'm not kidding. People would make fun of me for it. And it lasted for 6 years.. It. Sucked.) 

Then one day (hallelujah + pwaise the lawd) Utah Valley got a Sephora and I basically moved in! Being able to test out different makeup/products (alongside my proactiv face wash) saved me and my orange self. (God bless you sephora & all your samples!) 

Fast forward a couple of years to NOW and I finally understand makeup! I still have problems with makeup (like I occasionally turn myself orange and mess up,) but hey, I'm getting better with each passing day! 

The biggest struggle I've had with makeup this last year is that I always seem to look younger than I'd like. I'm a married woman, and want to look/feel like a woman! (My body is similar to a 12 year old boys shape/size & my face looks about 18 years old.) These aren't bad things!.. But some days, I just really want to look & feel like a mature, empowered, sexy woman. 

Rewind two weeks ago and the ups guy drops a package off from The Perfect Face. (Makeup!) I'm going to be honest, I'm wasn't  expecting much, but I was excited to try it!

The next morning I use the entire line while getting ready and I instantly started noticing differences!! A little went a long way with EVERYTHING! All of the makeup had incredible coverage without looking cakey, and my face was practically glowing! (If you saw my Instagram story from that day, you'll understand what I mean by glowy!) 

When Chase saw me after I had the makeup on, he realized something was different. Which is a huge deal! Since when do guys notice things like that?! NEVER! 

I gained something very important from this makeup. Somehow, after it was all applied, I looked more like a woman. (& I wasn't even wearing my vs bombshell.) I don't really know how to explain it, but I did. I could see it, my husband could see it, I was rocking this hot confidence for the rest of the day, it was amazing! It's exactly what I've been looking for this past year! <3

Just a quick background on The Perfect Face: this is the makeup that is used for the Miss USA pageants. It's created to look fresh throughout the entire day, cover fully, and last a lifetime. 

I can honestly say I love every single one of these products. I wanted to share my favorite three with you guys today! The highlighter, the blush, and the lipstick!  

The Highlighter has the most incredible shine. I swept it over my nose and cheeks once and that was all I needed! Same with the blush. Three sweeps across my cheeks and I was golden! The lipstick is my absolute favorite though. It has these brown tones in it that are truly beautiful.. I wear it every day now! I also think the coloring in the blush and lipstick are key factors to making me look more woman like. I could be wrong, but I think there's a high possibility it could be these two products!

Sunday best wearing head to toe Lulus. <3 This shift dress is one of my new favorites! It comes in 8 different colors, and I have it in 3! (I couldn't resist the blush pink & beige colors.. they are gorgeous!!) I love how simple yet stunning this dress is. It's perfect for a bridesmaid dress! I wish they had these when I got married for my bridesmaids, the girls would have loved them!!!!

In honor of Disneys Beauty & the Beast releasing this weekend (FINALLY) it was only fitting that this post be titled "Lumiere" after my (Yo what up it's Brit) favorite character! Lumiere means "light" in French, and these pictures are beaming with light! 

How many of you have tickets to go see Beauty and the Beast this weekend?! <3 We wouldn't miss it for the world!! It's one of Chase & my all time favorites! <3 

Alright, I wanna talk about another favorite of mine! I found a shop called Daisy Dukes while living in Texas last summer and instantly fell in love with their clothes! Lucky for me, Daisy Dukes has an online store so I can still shop with them! Lately I've been obsessed with their graphic tees, especially their band selections! (Legit there's like 20 tees I need from their shop right now..) When I saw this John Wayne tee in their shop though, I HAD to get it! Chases idol is John Wayne, (mine is Bruce Wayne) needless to say, this tee is a must have! (especially if you have some country in your blood!) Today is officially "P" day. I'm wearing pink, my outfit is pleated, the pleats are covered in poppies, the weather is perfect, (yaass) and it's March 14th. Aka 3.14 Aka PI Aka PI DAY!!!! (But I'm calling it P day because I'm just racking up the Ps!) And YES I celebrated by eating two slices of pie today because why the heck not?! (And because Kneaders pies are half off today and who am I to turn down sugar!) Y'all better run to Kneaders & partake of this goodness!!!!

Let's jump back to the pleats for a sec! Have you guys noticed the pleated skirts that have been trending for a while? Tbh I haven't been a fan! But then I saw this pleated top + skirt online and fell in love!! #GiveMeALLThePleats! After wearing this outfit, I'm fully converted. I finally see why pleats are a thing! If you've been hesitant about this trend as well, hopefully this outfit can convert you! It's from Moon River which is one of my brand crushes! Sunday best rocking our new Hush Puppies! We're kind of in love with our Hush Puppies shoes. (And each other, but we won't get into that right now!) (;  

When it comes to buying clothes/styling outfits, we always consider how comfortable the item is, then the looks of the item! (Comfort first ALWAYS!) These Hush Puppies definitely pass our test! 

We will be buying a few more shoes from this brand throughout the year! We just love em.

The secret to better looking (and better smelling) hair isn't much of a secret anymore! <3 I found Oribes line about a year ago while I was visiting a local blow dry bar and instantly became hooked to their line! (It smelled like heaven, it felt amazing, and my hair was shiny for days!) 

I googled Oribe right after my appointment and ordered everything the blow dry gal had used on me. (Gold lust shampoo + conditioner & their oil.) Since then I've added a few more of their products to my routine, like their texturizing spray & dry shampoo! (Anndd their perfume bc it just smells too friggen good.)

Those of you who have followed the blog for a while know that I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for." Guys, quality over quantity any day! I swear in the long run, it's always worth it! Wether it's a pair of jeans that are more durable, or a foundation that last longer, there's always a reason for the price, and the reason is it's WORTH it! Oribes products are pricier than some, but man oh man are they worth it! 

Oribes shampoo & conditioner not only make my hair look/feel better, but also lasts longer than any other washes & rinses I've ever used! My hair stays cleaner longer, so I'm not washing as often. I also don't need as much product to get the job done!  

In the past, I would use oil on my hair every single day! (You kind of have to with extensions!) But with Oribes oil, I only need to apply it once per wash and my hair stays looking glossy and beautiful! ( and I wash every 4-5 days.. so that lasting shine is impressive! Also, don't judge how long I go in between washes hahaa!) With the dry shampoo I use, I could even go longer! (But that's disgusting so I don't!) I use Oribes dry shampoo every other day and my hair looks and smells as good as the day I washed it every time! And if it ever looks too clean, or needs a lil umph, I add the texturizing spray! It adds volume, texture, and a bit of stick to style! (I can't go anywhere without the dry shampoo or the texturizing spray.. I carry the travel sizes with me in my purse!) 

Oribe also has a few new products that I'm DYING to get my hands on! They have a new shampoo + conditioner called Silverati that works like a purple shampoo! (Tones the yellow down and brings out the cool tones!) The other product I need to try out is called Matte Waves! Supposedly it gives your hair that hot, voluminous, beach waved look! And let's be honest, that's pretty much the only look that matters right now!

If you tapped into our instagram story this past week, you know we were shackin' it up at the incredible Zermatt Resort in Midway, Ut! (You know, the cute Swiss looking resort!)

We decided to celebrate our Valentine's Day a little early and booked ourselves the romance package at this breath taking resort! The romance package included chocolate covered strawberries, our choice of cider/champagne, rose petals throughout our suite, and a late check out! (Yeessss!) We added a couples massage to our romance package and it was the icing on the cake! 

When we first arrived at Zermatt and got to our room, we were stunned! The room was beautiful & the views were picture perfect. We both agreed that Zermatt is the perfect mountain hideaway! (Especially for us! Enough mountains/outdoor feels for Chase, & enough luxury for Brit!) 

(Beauty supplies, CHECK! T3 curler & strightener, old school Abercrombie perfume, & our Proactiv!)  

(There were the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us when we arrived! Best. Welcome. Ever.)  

The following day we slept in, (the bed was soo cozy) and took it easy! We decided to head down to Smoke Haus for breakfast! (One of two restaurants at the resort!) It did NOT disappoint! We ordered biscuits & gravy + eggs benedict and it was DIVINE!  (We love food all too much. Food is always a highlight!) 

Following breakfast, we headed to the spa to enjoy a massage! The massage therapists were AMAZING, and we felt light/relaxed the rest of the day! (The massage was much needed!) P.s. The spa was absolutely beautiful. It had a refreshing smell, and was a stunning space. We miss it there already! 

After our massage, we spent the rest of the afternoon taking it easy. We cuddled, enjoyed our view, took a stroll around the grounds, headed back down to the spa and took advantage of the sauna & steam rooms, and B had to indulge in the pool! (The water was so warm & the sun was out.. couldn't resist!)  

(Fun fact: they have some sort of Swiss music playing on the Resort grounds. Kind of awesome!)

Our stay definitely wasn't long enough. There were so many things on our list we didn't get do! The adventure at Zermatt continues with Skiing. Fly fishing. Scuba diving. Golf. Tennis. Swimming. Boating. Hiking. Horse trails. Bike trails. Climbing. Ziplines. Bob sledding. RZRs. ATVs. and Snowmobiles!

Zermatt is truly a resort where you can come to fully relax/be pampered, or play hard! (And obviously, the next time we visit will be purely for PLAY!)

 What's up peeps?! <3 

We just got back home from the Zermatt in Midway and absolutely loved it! (We'll put a post up of our adventure soon!) 

While we were there, we ventured out to one of our favorite places in Utah (Park City) to get in some fine dinning & shopping! First of all, we have to tell you about this incredible restaurant we went to called Riverhorse!!!! It's located on Main Street, and it was DIVINE! 10/10 would recommend for a hot date night or a celebration! (We ordered the surf & turf + the macadamia nut crusted Alaskan halibut. Both were heaven on earth.) 

After dinner, we shopped on main for a while because we were so STUFFED! (Gotta work off that din din!) All the things we bought/were drawn to were deep colored, kinda like our outfits above! Very neutral & casual. And let's be honest for a second, at this point, we are the definition of casual! 

Our favorite shops up there are Prospect, Flight, and Cake!  (&& the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory, but that one is a given!)

Hello loves! <3 I'm sorry I've been MIA the last little while! Between pnemonia, my dads funeral, and the move, (which is currently still underway) life has gotten extremely busy!  

Before I get back to packing, I had to share this gorgeous lace number with you all! I got it from Vici Collection, and it's definitely a new favorite! (Currently it's sold out, but it should be restocked soon! xx) This dress has a gorgeous shine to it and an extremely flattering fit!  &&, Like I mentioned in my last post, Lace is one of my favorite ways to begin transitioning my closet back into spring! One of my favorite ways to begin transitioning my closet into spring is 1. Get rid of anything I haven't worn in a year. (You too! Seriously. You DONT need it!) 2. Wash & steam my clothes so everything is fresh & clean. & 3. Hop online and start browsing new arrivals! This time of year I find myself shopping for blouses, lace tops/dresses, and pastels. I'll start wearing the blouses & the lace items immediately, but hold off on the pastels until March/April. (Depending on Utahs bipolar weather.)
